August 2011 – Morso Cape Town

It gives us great pleasure to tell you about our pleasant experience with Lee-Ann Philander at your Lansdowne Morso shop.

When we phoned her requiring about spare parts for our stove, she politely explained that the parts are in Durban but could not be delivered because of the heavy snowfall. However she promised to let us know as soon as the parts arrived in Cape Town. She kept her promise and we could collect the necessary parts in no time. She also gave us a demonstration as to how to do the necessary installation. When we installed the parts, we found that the back fire brick was a little to short. We phoned her and she promised that the maintenance team will soon attend to the problem. Again she kept her promise and the maintenance team attended to the problem on a highly professional way. We were really impressed with the way they did their job.

We feel that credit must be given where credit is due. Lee-Ann and the maintenance team really deserve some credit. We want to congratulate you with your excellent staff. You can be proud of them.

Hi Lee-Ann and the Morso Cape Town Team, I would like to express my utmost satisfaction towards not only the best fireplace around but also a great team supporting the brand. The friendly service and real product knowledge of Lee-Ann Philander was a complementing factor in securing the business. Morso has a great reputation to uphold and I believe that Lee-Ann embodies the brand and all it stands for. The team had to install both the unit and 8m of chimney piping etc which during a normal day would be a piece of cake. We were faced with driving rain and treacherous conditions at best, but still they persisted and completed a very neat and professional installation.

The squirrel I thought at first may be too small to heat up the old Victorian home in Darling, but after curing the fireplace and gasket, I started putting the squirrel through its paces using cured bluegum wood. I could not fault the unit from the ease of lighting a fire to the ease of putting a log into what looks like a dead fire, opening the door slight and after 45seconds the flames where bouncing around happily again. The constant heat it generates and visual bliss of watching the fire roar, makes for an unique and homely atmosphere. I place this Morso unit on par with my Dyson vacuum cleaner which is the highest compliment I can give a working piece of art.  We love our squirrel and as you can so so do our two beagles! We experienced a problem with the heat emission; however Mark has provided us with excellent service and has bent over backwards in trying to assist in resolving the problem. His service has been exceptional and we would highly recommend Mark from Morso to anyone wanting to install a fireplace! In this day and age where service is often non existent, Mark restores one's faith that there are decent suppliers out there!"

"Morso Fireplaces undertook a chimney sweep and a service on my wood stove near Britz at the end of May. At the beginning of August, the stove began to smoke dreadfully. By the middle of August the tenant could no longer use the stove at all.I then tested the stove myself and could not even get paper to burn in the stove. I called Fiona who was very patient and helpful over the phone. With Fiona's help I tested various options that might have been the cause of the problem.When we still had not found the solution by 14h00, Fiona sent a technician out to assist me, at her expense. That same afternoon the stove was working perfectly and the tenant was able to survive the last cold snap of the winter in warmth and comfort.I appreciated Fiona's assistance and willingness to help. However, I appreciated her and Morso's willingness to take responsibility for the problem without quibbling (even 2 months after the service) infinitely more.I will gladly recommend a Morso fireplace to anyone who requires a homely heating solution as there is nothing more comforting than a real wood fire in a high quality stove which is backed by EXCELLENT service! Thank you"

We bought a Morsø closed combustion stove from you some time back, and have been so impressed with the way that it works that we felt that we should write to you and tell you about our experience. All of the claims made in the advertising material are exceeded by the product - a small wattle fire that would normally burn for about twenty minutes in a conventional fireplace lasts for an hour or more in this one and warms the whole house! No "the morning after last night's fire" smell, no worrying about going to sleep with an open fire burning, easy to manage and compact - this fireplace-is an all-round pleasure.

What an absolute breath of fresh air, I am referring to the service received from Chris, Hannes, Shawn and the installation team.

Chris arrived promptly for the arranged appointment, immediately assessed the situation and advised us accordingly. We were sold from that point. We arrange for a demo at the showroom and gave Chris the go ahead.

We were advised of an installation date (this was absolutely amazing) the team arrived 10 minutes before the appointment time, and within an hour they were done! No mess
